Whenever people do this, myself included, they’ll always direct you towards the high value rookies. Whether it’s Joe Montana, Joe Namath or Mean Joe Greene, you’ll always get pointed to a PSA slabbed rookie card. Well, that doesn’t make a good collection. It certainly makes a great Rookie Card collection, but it doesn’t make a good collection.
I’ll use this post (and link to the post) as an index as I count down the Top-10 MUST HAVES for anyone looking to create a great collection. If you’re just entering the hobby and want a general, but very different take, on football card collecting, here you go:
