All sorts of fun, I figured I’d keep track of it
If you’ve got the HUNGER to read some national media coverage of Topps’ 60th Anniversary ‘ere ya go:

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: “The actor took less than one minute to beat out the other contestants” and his girlfriend then commented, “This guy’s got the golden touch”

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: “It gives one lucky couple an opportunity to make this Valentine’s Day even more special.”

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: “I went to the website to plug in my code only to find out the site isn’t ready yet.” — This is actually completely in context, and it’s hilarious. Caple from ESPN gives Topps a huge plug and then mentions that they’re incompetent. WIN for ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: Aaron dominates this article, but it’s Mark Sapir that goes for the win, “We look at our digital card business as our way to support our physical card business. We see the trend of kids spending more and more time online. And in some ways we’re competing with that, with our physical product, but in other ways we recognize we need to embrace it.” Paraphrased: “We’re going to teach these ADHD shit-heads that when you purchase something online, you don’t actually own it and we at Topps will make sure it disappears from the INTERWEB after one calender year. We figure if you take away their virtual cards often enough, they’ll eventually purchase real cards (or take up hard drugs to cope with our abusive practices)”
Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: Upon his retirement, Topps presented Aaron with his cards from each of his 23 seasons. His favorite: “No. 1 was my favorite one, I guess,” he says. “Then every one after that. I liked ‘em all.”
Aaron’s utter boredom with Topps cracks me up.

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: I’m not listening to the podcast, but you can
Mlb.com Hank Aaron, David Letterman Draw Laffs, omfg
Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: “you can call your wife or girlfriend and say, ‘Put the supper on, because I’ll be home in a couple of minutes”
Oh, and this may be of note: “Part of the Topps celebration includes special editions of the cards that feature autographs by legends of the game. Aaron signed cards for three editions — Topps Heritage, Topps Tribute and Gypsy Queen — as did Koufax.”

Great Quote Completely Taken Out of Context: Never did, no. He wasn’t serious enough. He was a good-looking guy, and he was looking at the . . . females.
