Topps Football Archives

Welcome to the Football Card Archives.  It’s the football equivalent of the Topps Baseball Card Archives. Within, you’ll find checklists for every Topps Football release from 1956 to 2009.  Each checklist will be accompanied by links to photos (just click the player’s name) of the front and rear of each football card along with quick links to eBay, colleges, positions, and teams.  On the right, you’ll see the links to the checklists along with categories.

The player pages have previous/next buttons for easy navigation along with various badges denoting the player’s position, college, current and previous teams, and type of card.  Currently, the cards are separated into Rookie, Veteran, Checklist, Team, Team Leader and Insert categories.

Most offensive players have career statistics at the bottom which are courtesy of ProFootballReference’s publicly available statistics database.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll try and put together some lists like University of Miami players or Hall of Fame Rookie Cards.  This will largely depend on just how friendly the database plays. I’m still having issues with players whose parents decided that periods should reside within their names, but that should be hammered out soon enough…
